I find the culture of death worship especially odd though. All that hype as if the American people are somehow 'better' than their enemies? It's the same bloodlust in different conditions. It's patriotic chest-thumping GARBAGE. Did you know that the guy ate Nestle products and bought Coke and Pepsi by the crate?
Am I defending Osama? God damn no! Fuck him!
But think bigger than that: fuck this whole show.
I got the idea for 'the wicked witch' from a clip Stephen Colbert used in conjunction with announcing Osama's death - the Wizard of Oz scene where the impassioned crowd celebrates with bloodlust the death of the 'wicked witch', the public enemy, the man everyone was raised to hate.
Well America, you killed your Emmanuel Goldstein. What the fuck are you going to do to distract people from the economy now? Oh wait, of course! This IS the distraction!
It's madness.

In regards to 'at least that's what the White House said', that's not a point of denial (since Al-Quada has admitted he's actually dead) but rather a comment on the constantly changing story. The so-called "40 minute firefight" turned out to be a simple room-by-room slaughter that didn't last too long, and no bullets hit any Americans. Other claims, like Osama using a woman as a shield, or 'going down fighting' were false. The 'current official story' as of May 7th is that he was reaching for a nearby gun when his brains were sprayed.

Hey, I have to hand it to you on your excellent piece here. Even though Osama is dead, I can't bring myself to celebrate. My own personal problems haven't changed and unfortunately neither have the problems of the world. It's nothing more than petty tribalism.
